Professor James Watson who won Nobel Prize in Physiology and medicine in 1962 after discovering DNA visited King Saud University. Professor Watson toured RTV and was briefed on the existing scientific projects.
He showed an interest in those projects which will find solutions for humanity problems. He hopes to arrive at some treatment for some terminal diseases such as cancer before he dies.
The University’s Rector Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman and Professor Roger Williams discussed means of scientific and practical collaboration between King Saud University- program of biomarker research center and the college of medicine in London University.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdualaziz Al-Dosari, general supervisor of technical and engineering affairs at RTV and Hussam Al-Mashowki, public relations officer. Before departure, Professor Williams toured RTV then he was given a trophy as well as a book about RTV.
