Riyadh Techno Valley arranged a week of knowledge in KSU during 16-22\5\1430 A.H. within the program and plan of the Valley to explain the programs , activities and services of RTV to faculty members , researchers and students of KSU . The week aimed at knowing RTV project as one of strategic projects of the university which seeks to knowledge economy industry , social partnership and to change research and inventions into economic investment products . The week sought to communicate with special researchers ; the faculty members and students , and preparing to attract research , projects and special inventions to let others to make use of opportunities given and supported by the Valley to change them into valuable products. Your highnesses board members of Higher Education visited RTV exhibition held in Tashrifat hall in the University's Center and they understood the vision and goals of RTV for promoting knowledge economy industry and listened to the explanation of RTV and its projects. RTV is considered as one of the KSU projects which are heading to the internationality , interaction with the society and establishing knowledge economy. The University aims at making the Valley a regional pathfinding model of Science Parks which it gives a chance to invest its potentials and resources contributed to achieve the persistent development , to develop and promote the national economy through attracting international and local investments for the project as well as to prepare students professionally to work in technology companies , to increase qualitative value of research to support the development of economic companies , and to transfer the technology and to invest its subjective resources and potentials to promote a competitive ability of knowledge economy in the kingdom . RTV is accompanying the 8th Development Plan of the Kingdom , endorsed by Cabinet in 19\10\1426 A.H. resolution NO( 251), aims at building national base of Science and Technology which can invest and renew towards knowledge economy. KSU initiated , as the first university in the Kingdom , to establish Science Parks named as " Riyadh Techno Valley" to be a regional pathfinding model of Science Parks which is attributed to the importance of scientific production ,and increase technology industries and their efforts on a comprehensive and permanent development which has prompted in the Kingdom and achieved strategic goals of social and economic development and all it sides . RTV is a new and unique project to develop industries based on knowledge and a great investment of research industry and technologies . It is a civilized society of three industrial, commercial and technological industry groups which contribute efficiently in research technological industry and invest them economically . Many companies invest in this project as well as world , regional and local research centers of employment , directly and indirectly, almost 3000 researchers , 12000 commercial experts, and providing 5000 job opportunities for students during and after studying at university in 2020 A.D. , inside and outside RTV. RTV project initiated from ambitious strategic view to achieve pathfinding in development and research field and to transfer technology and to make a message and mission in providing a motivated environment and attract development and research , contributing in achieving permanent development and promoting a competitive ability of national economy based on knowledge.
