Riyadh Techno Valley participated in the activities of the 5th Saudi International Water , Electricity and Power Generation Conference and Exhibition ( We Power 2009) held in Dhahran International Exhibitions Center , starting on Sunday and ending on Wednesday (14-17\6\1430A.H) . Mr. Abdurrahman Bin Rashid Al-Rashid, the Chairman of Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EPCCI) inaugurated the exhibition. Dr. Khaled Al- Thafer , the Assistant of General Supervisor of RTV in Engineering Affairs , gave a presentation on RTV, high lightening the trends , philosophy , mechanism and standards of RTV whereas Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Dossery , the Assistant of General Supervisor of Technical and Engineering Affairs , gave a presentation on the path of carrying out RTV project , explaining the features of the general plan of the Valley , the steps of implementing and the standards of persistence . The Chairman of Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry and guests have visited the stand of RTV , and they took a look at the Valley 's accomplishments and goals . They were impressed by the strategic trends of the project as one of King Saud University 's initiatives to build a society of knowledge and partnership, and to develop the national economy . The exhibition has attracted great attention of many businessmen and officials from energy companies , from inside and outside of the Kingdom, because the Valley is interested in water and power as one of the technologic and investment sectors which is one of the Valley 's goals.
